Your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions is effective from the earlier of:

• the time you confirm a booking or registration with us, or
• the moment you enter the venue premises.

We may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will take effect when published at https://theamberparlour.com/terms-and-conditions/. Your continued access to or use of the venue and its services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.

Access to The Velvet Felt, including the card room, high roller lounge, grill restaurant, and bar, is strictly limited to guests aged 18 years and over.

• All patrons must provide valid, government-issued photo identification upon request, and as a condition of entry or continued service.
• Management reserves the right to request identification at any time and to refuse entry or service if valid identification cannot be produced.
• Minors are not permitted in the card room, at the poker tables, in tournament areas, or within any part of the venue where our age-restricted services are provided.

By entering the venue, you warrant that you meet the minimum age requirement and are legally permitted to participate in social poker activities and consume alcohol in accordance with Australian law.

All poker table bookings, high roller lounge reservations, private card room hire, and dining bookings must be made through the official booking channels provided by The Velvet Felt, including our Contact & Reservations page or other communication methods expressly authorised by us.

By placing a booking or reservation, you agree that:

• You will provide accurate and current contact information and booking details.
• You are responsible for any guests included under your booking and for ensuring that they also comply with these Terms and Conditions.
• Reservations may be subject to confirmation, availability, and minimum spend or minimum group size requirements for certain private events or high roller suites.

Cancellations, alterations to booking times, changes to group size, or amendments to tournament registrations are subject to management approval and may require reasonable advance notice. Where applicable, we may apply venue-specific booking or cancellation policies, which will be communicated at the time of booking or published on our website.

Management reserves the right to modify, relocate, or cancel reservations or events where required due to operational, safety, legal, or other reasonable considerations. In such cases, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected guests using the contact details provided at the time of booking.

We are dedicated to providing a refined, welcoming, and safe offline poker and dining environment. All patrons are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that respects fellow guests, our team, and the venue.

By attending The Velvet Felt, you agree to:

• Comply with all posted house rules, card room rules, and tournament procedures as communicated by dealers, floor staff, or management.
• Maintain respectful behaviour at all times, including courteous language and conduct towards staff and other guests.
• Adhere to the venue dress code, which requires neat, smart attire suitable for an upscale card room and gourmet grill.
• Follow all directions or reasonable requests given by The Velvet Felt staff or management in relation to safety, service, seating, and tournament conduct.

Abusive language, harassment, aggressive behaviour, collusion at the poker tables, cheating, damage to property, or any activity that disrupts the atmosphere of the card room or dining spaces will not be tolerated.

Management reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse entry, refuse service, relocate guests, restrict participation in tournaments, or remove any person from the premises who is in breach of these Terms and Conditions or any venue policy, or whose conduct is otherwise deemed unacceptable.

The Velvet Felt operates strictly as a social card room offering structured offline poker tournaments and guided social tables using tournament chips or points only.

Key conditions include:

• All poker activities are conducted in tournament or structured social formats, including but not limited to No-Limit Texas Hold'em tournaments, Pot-Limit Omaha events, deep stack series, bounty formats, and other scheduled games listed on our Tournaments page.
• All chip stacks, blind structures, levels, breaks, and tournament rules are determined and published by The Velvet Felt and may vary between events.
• Chips are provided solely for the purposes of game play within our card room and have no cash or monetary value. Chips and tournament points cannot be redeemed for money, goods, or other financial benefits.
• No real money transactions, cash games, or monetary prizes are offered or permitted in connection with our poker activities.
• Buy-ins, re-entries, add-ons, and similar mechanisms relate only to tournament chips, entry eligibility, or leaderboard points in line with our social poker framework.

All poker tables are overseen by professional dealers and floor staff. Management decisions, dealer rulings, and tournament director decisions regarding chip stacks, hand outcomes, blind structure application, seating, or disciplinary actions are final and binding to ensure a fair and enjoyable social poker environment.

The Velvet Felt operates as a licensed Australian restaurant, grill, and craft bar. Tableside service is available both in the card room and in the main dining lounge to complement the offline poker experience.

By ordering food or beverages, you acknowledge and agree that:

• All service of alcohol is provided in accordance with responsible service of alcohol obligations and relevant licensing laws.
• Staff may decline to serve alcohol, offer water or non-alcoholic alternatives, or suggest a break from the poker tables where they reasonably believe this is appropriate.
• Intoxicated, disruptive, or unsafe behaviour, including excessive consumption, will not be tolerated and may result in service refusal or removal from the premises.
• The supply or attempted supply of alcohol to minors is strictly prohibited and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

We encourage guests to enjoy our culinary and bar offerings responsibly and to remain mindful of their wellbeing while participating in tournaments, social poker sessions, or extended dining experiences.

We respect your privacy and are committed to handling personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws.
